Two Danish Music Awards 2016!!!

Saturday evening November 28th at The Culture House in Tønder: we had a fairytale evening receiving awards in both the categories where we had been nominated! The trio Gangspil received THE TRADITIONAL AWARD OF THE YEAR and Kristian Bugge brought home the award as FOLK MUSICIAN OF THE YEAR!!! Incredibly inspiring and really overwhelming, thanks a lot everybody!

Nominated for the Danish Music Awards!

The nominations for the Danish Folk Music Awards have been released and in my trio “Gangspil” we’ve been nominated no less than four times between us, very exciting!!!
The trio is nominated in the category “the tradition award” and we’re all three each nominated as “Musician of the Year / Instrumentalist”! In this category, Sonnich Lydom, Morten Alfred Høirup and me (the trio) make up three out of the five nominees, pretty wild!
Help us keep your fingers crossed until November 26th 8.00pm when the big award celebration is held in Tønder
